Half Day Lobster and Bottom fish
Our half day lobster and bottom fish trips are a great way to experience the New England saltwater fishing lifestyle. Step into the shoes of a Rhode Island commercial fisherman. On this half day trip we’ll spend half the time as working lobstermen. We’ll haul 10 commercial sized traps with our handy electric pot hauler, pick each pot, sort and cull our catch, then re-bait each one. Sometimes we’ll get a surprise bycatch of Jonah and sand crabs as well! We’ll then set each pot back in place. For the second half of this trip we’ll focus on bottom fishing. Depending on conditions we’ll either drift or ‘spotlock’ anchor over the fish. Expect to catch black sea bass, fluke, scup and cunner. This trip option is great for novices, skilled anglers and families!
